Pinel & Pinel Arcade Trunk

As much as i love this arcade i have to tell you 1 thing, this is WAY over priced! Lets think about this logically what are we looking at
a Screen $100
controls $20
CPU with 60 games $100
iPod Dock $20
Amplifier $200
Speakers $150
Casing $400!
Total Estimate $990
But like a rollable Dave & Busters, the Pinel & Pinel Arcade Trunk ($13,700 and up) is a retro arcade powerhouse on wheels. Featuring a 1080p LCD screen, a high-def sound system with integrated iPod/iPhone dock, and sixty built-in titles include Pac-man, Space Invaders, and 1942, this high-end gaming cabinet comes clothed in your choice of one of 51 colors of calfskin, which works with the chromium-plated dashboard and aluminum wheels to add a touch of class to your man cave or game room. Again if you are rich enough to blow money on this system you prob already own an actual Man Cave.

Ballpark Classic Game

Ballpark Classics MLB Baseball Game

Create your own league or just reenact past fall classics with the Ballpark Classics MLB Baseball Game ($250). This challenging tabletop game is made from quality materials like wood and a turf-like felt playing field, and comes with over 30 MLB mini-felt pennants to allow for stadium customization. Players simply assume the normal positions of hitter and pitcher, with the pitcher sliding the ball down a slick tube and onto the authentically-scaled field, where the batter — or bat, as it were — awaits. Hit it into one of the openings in the fence to advance your runners, or perish. Sure, you could pick up a console gaming system and an MLB-licensed game for the same price, but then you’d miss out on the joys of pre-1980s era gaming.

7 Piece Whiskey Gift Set_230.jpg

Now that LOST has ended forever, and 30 Rock has taken a break for the season, we’re missing Mad Men even more than usual. To kick off season four, we’re looking forward to themed parties with the men in sharkskin suits and skinny ties, and the women in curve hugging dresses and pearls. Besides the era appropriate pate and cucumber sandwiches, why not try your hand at mixing an Old Fashioned (Don Draper’s drink of choice). We recommend investing in this 7-Piece Whiskey Gift Set ($22) crafted in Italy.

While i was at a spa in Hong Kong they used to have fruit floating in the water, while the taste was delicious the floating pieces were not as pleasant. Three Monkeys

Darwins Three Evils Monkey Sculpture

The center piece of any conversation piece, sure to bring up hours of conversation about nothing. If you live your life according to this statue you will surely be a pious man. With little to speak about others or maybe you will just learn how to start talking nicely. I’m liking this monkey thing already, but there is 1 more thing! Darwin’s 3 Evils are found in the bible so why does Darwin get the credit? The only thing Darwin should get credit for is coming up with some foolish idea that our grandparents were monkeys. Evolution was thought of as an excuse so people can act like monkeys.

iRetrofone Base

Whether you’re concerned with radiation, want a classier look for your iPhone while at the office, or simply miss the shoulder-hugging contours of yesterday’s rotary handsets, the iRetrofone Base ($200) is quite the iPhone accessory. Sculpted and casted one-at-a-time from great-looking resin, the Base is designed to be compatible with all iPhones, and offers an opening for attaching a charging/sync cable, as well as a fully-functional handset. Also great for confusing grandparents and local luddites. [Thanks Uncrate]

Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium

May 18th, 2010 David No comments

Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium

We have wall-mounted TVs, so why not aquariums? We suspect this same question was asked in the early development stages of the Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium ($1,000-$1,200). This striking decoration comes with all the gear necessary for a tropical aquarium, including an automatic feeder, dual filtration, heater, air pump, lighting, and a carbon dioxide generator, all of which is controlled via a side-mounted, touchscreen LCD. Available in 5-foot, 20 gallon and 6-foot, 25 gallon models, it’s the new must-have accessory for anyone making an appearance on Cribs. [Thanks Uncrate]

WinScape

April 28th, 2010 David No comments

Your future wall decoration has arrived, and it’s called Winscape ($2,500-$3,000). Based on two 46-inch Panasonic TC-P46G10 plasma screens, a Mac running specialized software, a Wii remote, a custom-built IR-emitting necklace, and an iPhone app, Winscape creates two virtual windows, which can display static images up to 4096×4096 resolution, or 1080p video — with sound — and tracks the necklace wearer’s movements around the room, realistically changing the view out of the “windows” accordingly. It’s not quite Holodeck-level sophistication, but it’s getting there, and it far surpasses the coolness of that oversized Matrix poster you bought sophomore year. [Thanks, Matthew]
